Our Community

Why We Love Chestermere

Our community is positioned around this beautiful gathering place, Chestermere Lake, only 22 KM from downtown Calgary, a community that has woven together long-time residents and drawn new families from near and far.

Since 2003 Chestermere has grown from a population of 5,000 to nearly 25,000, and new sub-divisions are planned every year with a majority of children between the ages of 5-9 and adults from ages 40-44. At 4.8km long surrounded by almost 400 homes, the Chestermere Lake community embodies the small-town feel and strives to preserve the beauty of what makes our city so special and unique.

We thrive on the many opportunities for residents to relax and enjoy the lake in every season from frozen pond hockey to ice fishing, from sailing to water sports, public beaches and walking paths.  With a collection of distinctive home styles from different decades, amenities designed for family living, unparalleled recreational activities, and abundant natural spaces and species, Chestermere Lake offers something for everyone.  Thanks to CLFOA, Chestermere Lakefront homeowners can rest assured their community and social calendars will thrive!
